Remember the S.L.A.M. prompts

S Structure	How are the line breaks structured? How are the stanzas organised? Is there punctuation? What does it look like? How does the structure affect the meaning of the poem?

WALT:Write a silme about the pool
Hey guys so I did a poetry about my fun day at the pools it is the weather, swimming in the pool, the slide and how it is fun place to go to I hope you enjoyed reading this you are welcome to leave a comment and have a great easter. 

Title What is the title of your poem? Make it catchy	YMCA (Not The Village People)
Stanza 1 -  Weather (4 sentences) Introduce the topic of your poem through descriptive vocabulary and language	The weather was like a cold shower and the rain was like tears going down my face. It was like the sun was sick and didn’t want to show up to the day! Later on the sun decided to get well and shined on us like cooking eggs on a frypan.
Stanza 2  - SWIMMING (4 sentences) Use figurative language to creatively describe the topic of your poem	The water was cold as ice and it was like a refrigerator because when you go in the pool it feels like a iceberg.  when you are in the pool it feels like as you are with polar bears because it is really cold like antarctica.
Stanza 3  - THE SLIDE ( 4 sentences) Use figurative language to creatively describe the topic of your poem	The slide was long as a snake and it felt like going on a rollercoaster. It was like going threw and pitch of darkness because going in the slide is really dark you can not see anything until you get to the end of the slide then you see light like heaven.
Final Stanza What message are you wanting the reader to understand?	The panmure pools is a fun place to swim spend some time with  your friends and family. It is also great place because there is a gym and swimming lessons that you can take also it has a food bar there where you find food and drinks so that is why the pools is a fun place to go because you will have the time of your life there.

Easter Weekend Starts Tomorrow (Are You Ready I Am)

Hey guys starting tomorrow it is easter and I am exitced because I like easter because we do fun stuff like easter egg hunt and then later eating it and also the long weekend because we have days off from friday to tuesday which I am also exitced about and I will also be blogging in the long weekend so yeah you  are welcome to leave a comment and have a great easter. 

KiwiSport/P.E Reflection

WALT:Write a reflection on kiwisport and p.e

P.E
Hey guys so today we had kiwisport and p.e for the last time this term so the first thing was sit down so Mrs Komor could take the roll then home group 1 walked down to kiwisport with Mr. L our teacher for the day and home group 2 lined up and waited for Mrs Komor then we walked down for p.e. When we first there was Mrs Komor show us moves on how to play volleyball then she will get 6 us each to stand on the left or right side so the first 6 people were Me Timeus, Fe'ao, Kaleb, Bianna and Hamish we tried our best and we had fun then the other 6 people after them then the last 6 came after that 6 people were in each side and then we played a game volleyball then the other 12 people come play until it is done when were done with that then we went to kiwisport.

KiwiSport
The first thing was sit down and our coach Peter told us that is our last lesson on tennis this term and he said that we will be doing 1v1 instead of 2 v 2 so 2 people at the back and in the front playing a game of tennis and then we switch so the 2 people at the back waiting has a chance to play and it keeps on going until I was with my friend Timeus and the other 2 people was Hamish and Fe'ao. So we kept on playing until Peter called us and we had to put things back like they were before then Peter was talking about the last 6 weeks we had in kiwisport and also told us about a tennis club after that we had a drink of water then walked back to class. I felt sad and great because tennis was done this term and I learned a lot while playing volleyball and tennis.

What I found challenging:I found it hard on volleyball because it was to serve and hit the ball.

What I enjoyed:I enjoyed playing tennis because it is a good game to play with you friends and on the video games.

What can I do better:I can work on my serving and hitting the ball on volleyball it is really hard but if I practice more than I will be good at it.

Last Week Tech Reflection

WALT:Reflect on tech

Hey guys so last week we had tech and I forgot to do a reflection so here it is the first thing we did was get our staff that we needed for tech after that we sat down and Mrs Komor took the roll then we lined up and walked to down to the bus. When we got there everyone went to there tech class beside me and Aumau because we had to wait for a new student from samoa called Lofa Miss Arieen drop Lofa and Bianna them off then we walked to class after we got there we went inside and got out staff that we needed for cooking. After that our cooking teachers said that we were going to make pasta salad look at the photo on we you need ok you have done cool moving on so first we boil the macaroni  then we had to cut the tomato and ham then cooked the ham in the frying pan and then when macaroni was soft the we added the little peas and carrots
when it was all done we put it all together with mayo mixed it and then it was done after that we ate and went back to school. I felt great after that because I learnt how to make pasta salad and I can not wait for this week so yeah you are leave a comment and have a great night.

Maths Group Reflection (No KiwiSport Or P.E)

WALT:Reflect on what we did at maths
hey guys so today I had maths because I am in maths group and I missed kiwisport but it was ok first thing we did was sit on a table with our math teacher Kelly while Lydia record us for a teacher that wanted see how our maths go so what we first did was count in 1s which is pretty easy to do but we started from 27 to 50 and it was easy for me and for everyone else in the group after that we use the square boxes that you can squeeze and each of us had to said the numbers down then up. Then Kelly brang the dice and did addititon and who gets it first wins So I won and lost because it was hard and easy but it was good and everyone did good at it after she got out the maths questions card and we all had to verse each other and it was a lot fun later we had to come up with a group name we first choosed dice 7 but then we ended up doing new addition and it is a really good name then we went back to class. I felt great because I learnt a lot and I can not wait to do it tomorrow so yeah you are welcome to leave a comment and have a great night sleep.

PolyFest Tomorrow

hey guys so tomorrow is polyfest it is the biggest island festival in new zealand and when schools  come together to perform in their groups that they join and it is any culture that they can join but only for the years 9-13 but the the thing is I am not sure if I am going but if I do I will write a reflection on it so yeah you are welcome to leave a comment  and have a great night.

Tai Chi - Lesson 3 - Reflection

WALT:Write a reflection about what we did at tai chi

  Hey guys so today the room 9&10 boys had tai chi and I was so exitced so the first thing we did was went in the class bowed down then we did our breathing techniques then we did tiger push mountain after that we did the crane then we got out the chairs so we can so the sharing circle and lucking we did it not loud because if we did then we will have to lie down. 

Then we did the same thing we did and that was share a good thing we did and a bad thing also a random act of kindness
like if we did something nice without being told.

after that Mr. Gordon told us about the power word for our class last week was awareness and
this week it was listening so when he tell us something we have to listen like we do with a teacher. 

After that we putted our chairs away and  played a quick game it is when you get into buddies and stand face to face and also your feet and you put  your hands together and try to push them and if there feet move then there out I was out the first time but it was good. 

Then after that we got into our normal lines and bowed down and went back to class. I felt great after  that because I learnt a lot and I can not wait for next week.

What I found challenging:I found it  hard sharing because I am a very shy person and it is not easy for me.

What I enjoyed:I enjoyed playing the quick game because it was fun and simple to do.

What can I do better:I can try to not be shy and work more on my tai chi moves.

      

Te Tuhi Trip Coming Soon

Camp In Term 2

Tech Reflection

WALT:Tell What We Did At Tech

Today we had tech again the first thing we did was got our staff for tech the Mrs. Komor called out the roll then after that we lined up and walked down the bus then we went to tech.

 When we got there we had to park somewhere else for now on because where we park most of the time is bad for some reason so hoped out and walked through the main entrance and I was nervous because my uncle works there and if I saw him then it will be a little embarrassing but we saw him and it was ok.

 After that we went to our classroom and our cooking teacher told us that we were going to make vanilla muffins the things that we need was eggs, sugar, flour, oil and milk first we had to put in all the ingredients in the bowl then we whisked it all up after we put the muffin mixture into the muffin tray
Then we put it into the oven and put on 180. 

After we did all that it was done and our cooking teacher put chocolate syrup on top and it taste amazing then we took a photo of it then we cleaned up and ate after that the bell rang then we went back to the bus and went back to school.

I felt great because I learnt how to bake muffins and I had fun baking with my friends.

What I found challenging:I found it easy and hard because I was not sure if I put more or less flour and sugar but it was just right and for me it was not to sweet it was just good so I am glad.

What I enjoyed:I enjoyed baking the muffins because it is fun to do and good to make at home.

What can I do better:I can do more stuff like whisk and also look at the on how to make it properly but it was good.

Where Are They Now - K-Ci & JoJo

Hey people so today I am going to write down about a famous R&B duo K-Ci & JoJo now if you do not know who they are let me write down a little bit of them so they originate from north carolina and they are brothers and they have amazing hits like all my life, tell me it's real, crazy and girl but before all that in 1990 they form the  group called jodeci with their friends DeVante Swing and Dalvin DeGrate and jodeci also has great hit's like forever my lady, come and talk me, love you 4 life and many more then in 1994 K-Ci and JoJo became a R&B duo but they are still in jodeci even today with Dalvin DeGrate but I have no idea Where DeVante Swing Is now but he is not dead but yeah that is a little something about K-Ci and JoJo. Now where are they now so in 2010 they  had a tv program about their lives like keeping up with the kardashians but now they are going on tour for them and jodeci (But just the 3 of them) and that is all that I know on where are they now so yeah you are welcome to leave  a comment and have a great weekend.  

Kia Manawanui Talent Show In Week 10

Music Reflection

WALT:Reflect on our music time 

Yesterday after tech we came back to school and had music and p.e so my group first p.e then we had music the first thing we did was  sit down then our music teacher (Caleb) told us that we had to be in groups for a talent show that we are having in week 10 so I got into a group with my friends Fe'ao and Timeus and everyone go into groups but only one person went solo that was Edith. After that we had think as a group what are we going do as a group sing a song, rap, dance or do stand up my group decided to sing a song and I thought that was a great idea so that is what we were going to do so we told caleb and he asked what song we thought about it and we choose a old song from 1994 end of the road by boyz ll men I love this song because it sounds amazing and make you feel relax so we choose that song then we started practicing for week 10 then it was lunchtime and we went back to class. I felt great after because I can not wait to perform in week 10 and to practice so yeah you are welcome to leave a comment and have a great weekend.

3 Things And What I Can Do Better That I did On My Maths Test Today

WALT:Reflect on our math test

So today we had the pat maths test the first thing we did was get out our netbooks and Mrs Komor gave our password for our maths test then we got started and then we were done with the test then we wait for Mrs Komor to come and check it.

The questions it was easy and hard because some was easy to solve but most of them were hard because there was hard thing and I could not keep up but I got threw and I finished my test.

My Improving In maths I need to improve my fractions because I Have work on my fifths and my 10's I also have to improve my times tables because I don't  get it sometimes but if I practice over and over then I will start to get it and I will be good at it and the last thing that I need to improve is my counting now I know it sound childlike but sometime when I Count sometime I Miss a number and I do not feel great about that but if I count and count then I will get it and I will not miss a number.

What I can do better:I can work on my maths stuff that I do not know like for example my times tables and I can also work on my counting.

What I found challenging:I found it hard making the food that we made because there was a lot dicing and string but it was I really liked it.

What I enjoyed:I enjoyed cooking with my friends because they really help me and it was fun cooking with them.
